Is there a French equivalent of the UK’s Insurance Ombudsman, as I would like to make a complaint about my house insurers?
Last year, rain water came in through the roof of my bungalow. The builders made a watertight repair under the 10-Year Construction Guarantee, but the damage meant redecoration was needed. My house insurers Gan Assurance arranged for an expert to assess the damage and its cause. His report, copied to the builders, stated that the builders were the liable party.

It is the six-legged larva which causes such discomfort to cats and dogs during the late summer and autumn. The mite is particularly abundant in chalky areas and gardens where soft fruit is grown. The infestations can be sharply localised, and only one or two gardens in a village may be affected. The larval stage is the only parasitic stage of the life cycle.

Owners have until the end of December to declare their activity at the mairie, stating the name of the owner/occupant, the address, the capacity and rental periods of the chambres. Chambres d’hôtes owners may not offer more than five rooms or welcome more than 15 people at any one time.
