The annual Salon Nautique opens its doors at the Porte de
Versailles from December 1-9, with protecting the environment
taking centre stage. The exhibition is punctuated by a ‘Parcours
environnement’, with an exhibition of photos by Philippe Plisson:
‘La Mer, avenir de la terre’.
The exhibition will show some 1,400 boats; more than 600 motor
boats, about 500 sailing boats and 300 different craft, such as
canoes and surf boards. Sailing and tourism are also key words of
this salon, and one of the high points is a mock up of a river port
with barges to visit and electric boats which can be tried out on
the water.
There is also an exhibit about wind surfing, and an interactive
section organised by Veolia Environnement to sensitise younger
visitors to environmental issues.
