30/11: Following last month’s session with former chancellor Kenneth Clarke, Kevin Marsh of Azur Productions is offering a different kind of political insight at the celebrity lunch on November 30.
The guest is John Sergeant, for 12 years chief political correspondent for the BBC. That spell, however, was just the high point of 30 years of political journalism, during which he rubbed shoulders with every significant figure in the worlds of Westminster and Whitehall, grilled them on radio and TV and even found himself, in 1990, famously on the receiving end of Margaret Thatcher’s handbag.
Sergeant is himself an experienced performer. In his Oxford days he regularly took to the stage in revues, after which he appeared at the Edinburgh Festival and in 1966 was cast by Alan Bennett in an early TV series ‘On the Margin’ in preference to Michael Palin.
Bookings and further information from www.Azurproductions.com.

Until 07/11 The Prince’s car collection is on show from 10am- 6pm, daily, at the Motor Club of Monaco, where 60 vehicles will chart the progress of the automobile over the 60 years from 1947 to the present day.
