If you are, have been or
always wanted to be a
hippy, Matha, in
Charente-Maritime,
between August 9 and 12,
is the place to rekindle
the spirit of the period.
Starting with a free openair
showing of ‘Pink
Floyd on the Wall’, there
will be three evenings of
musical tributes to major
bands Genesis, Santana,
Deep Purple, Pink Floyd
and Joe Cocker. This
year’s festival, the fourth
organised by the French-
British association Nous
and You of Matha, will
also have a market area,
and a ‘Village
Ecologique,’ with discussions on renewable energies, global
warming, recycling, and exhibition stands.

Entry free from midday to 6pm. Tickets are €15 per evening or €35 for
three evenings,
free under 12yrs, doors open at 7pm.
