People living in Nord, Pas de Calais, Somme and North Aisne spend too much money drinking mineral water, according to a study led by the agence de l’eau. It concluded that although people drink more tap water now than in 2000, they still spend up to100 times more drinking mineral water instead of tap water. In the Artois area people were found to drink 142 litres of mineral water a year, costing €50, when it would come to a mere €0,50 if that same water came from the tap... and be more ecological.
