The Cercle des Amis des Arts d’Argentat (CAAA) has a new
website and everyone interested in participating or just
curious can look up Argentat’s art club on
www.artsargentat.com.
There is a special link to the 2007 Parcours des arts which is
already in its planning stages. This year’s art trail, the third, is
scheduled for August 4 to 15. A steering group has been formed
and to date the response from local artists has been enthusiastic.
The CAAA’s latest group project has been centred on the
gentle art of marouflage – collage to most of us. Anne-Marie
Morvan, a local member, has been introducing and demonstrating
this satisfying creative technique in some enlightening workshoptype
sessions.
Any artist within a 50km radius of Argentat in the southerly
part of the Corrèze interested in taking part in the various activities
including the 2007 August Parcours des Arts can contact the
CAAA through its président, Michael Durant.
