Mark Jones is a multimedia designer. His wife is a primary school teacher, and he says he has spent a fair time of late sitting on undersized chairs admiring the alphabet charts on classroom walls. One day it occurred to him that ‘I’ for Indian, one that he remembered from childhood, had been replaced as it is no longer politically correct to refer to indigenous Americans as Indians. So he determined to draw his own ABCs, ones unlikely ever to grace a classroom. Mark’s alphabet is definitely for grownups as the words selected are those that are now considered to be outside acceptable usage (but only just). So if you wish to relearn your alphabet, but prefer A for Atom Bomb to A for Apple, or if N for Nipple Ring appeals to you, then this deliciously naughty site might be your thing – an alphabet composed entirely of topics and terms most adults prefer not to wade into with children. C for Cigarettes, E for Empire, and O for Old Woman are among the offerings. As the author himself says: “Tasteful? Maybe not. Fun? I hope so.”
