Dear French News,
The decline in the pound against the euro has now been going on for more than three months, yet nobody at ‘French News’ seems aware of it! Maybe your readership is so prosperous that such things do not rank as noteworthy? Surely some of them must be in similar positions to my wife and I: retired teachers, both dependent on pensions issued in sterling which have to be converted into euros to be usable?

It could be comforting to find out what someone experienced in the world of economics and finance thinks of the whole situation. During those three months we’ve taken a cut of more than 12%, and there’s no sign of any stability, which I find alarming.
Is it time to play the spoons outside our mairie? If so, which tunes are likely to bring in the coins?
