Like the rest of those in France with a fosse septique we are subject to an official contrôle carried out by ‘experts’ on behalf of the commune, but at our expense of course. This, we do not object to; we do, however, object to the inconsistency of the charges. In Brittany alone, we understand that the fees of these ‘experts’ vary, from zero euros upwards. Our commune is charging E160 with no explanation why.
It would be very interesting to hear from your readers in the same boat (is that the right phrase in the circumstances?) as to how much they are paying and what success they have had in their objections.

Your Communauté de communes sets the price for this contrôle. The rate is fixed at their discretion. If you wish to contest the price, the only way to do so is through them. You can find out how to reach them via you mairie
