‘gotter’, ‘gonna’, ‘twenny’,
not to mention ‘sortuv’ and
‘yernow’ after every third

a word. It is a fact that in the early days of broadcasting BBC news readers wore a dinner jacket. Today they appear on political programmes devoid of a tie. Go on ‘aveago’! Name withheld, by email |
