Le Bistrot Gourmand is a charming small restaurant set
up as a traditional French ‘Bistrot’. The eatery is
located in Bars, a tranquil village of 217 inhabitants in
the heart of the land of Jacquou le Croquant, renowned
for its yearly traditional festival and its freshly renovated
church containing France’s only harmonium museum.
In the restaurant they have been running for four
years, English-speaking owners Emmanuelle and Olivier
are looking forward to introducing you to their
gastronomic menu. Olivier lovingly cooks typically
French dishes such as Oeufs Cocotte au Foie Gras,
Aumonière de Saint-Marcellin au Miel and Tournedos de
Canard Rossini. He also dabbles with international
recipes inspired by his experiences working throughout
the world, like Red Tuna Mi-Cuit, Virgin Sauce &
Guacamole, Lamb Tandoori Brochettes and Chicken
Satay. Allow yourself to try the tempting pudding
selection of Chestnut Honey Crème Brûlée, Greedy
Profiteroles or Armagnac flamed Apple Pie.
While you eat, enjoy a chat with our entertaining and
jolly clients, both native and international, who are
always ready to exchange views and good advice,
gastronomic and otherwise. Le Bistrot Gourmand is open
all year round, offering evenings on world cooking and
music, live music soirées called “Pasta Party” every
Sunday evening and the new €12,50 classic Sunday
brunch. So why wait any longer to discover the
gastronomic and bacchanalian delights of Bars?
