Sarah Weston was born in South London in the early ’70’s. Through sheer determination and perseverance she has overcome cerebral palsy. She was educated at Middlesex University where she read the History of Art, Design and Film and graduated with a 2.1 honours degree.
"In 1994 my parents and our two dogs moved lock stock & barrel to
South West France. Whilst studying I had ‘glandular fever’ which
unfortunately progressed to chronic fatigue syndrome, for the first 10
years of living in France, I was ill. From a child I always had a
passion for words and creativity, as I became better I began using
these skills to become a writer. I have had several articles published
in magazines / websites about experiences from living in France. In
between being the Midi Pyrenees correspondent for ‘French News’; I am
currently in collaboration with two girlfriends from childhood, writing
stories for children.
My philosophy on life: One shouldn’t feel sorry for the disabled.
Disability is only a word; everybody is ‘disabled’ in some form or
another. You can be as ‘disabled’ as you want to be… Life is not a
rehearsal, you only life once, so grab every available opportunity when
you can and make the most of your life."
