The Royal Horticultural Society’s portal to all things related to gardens and gardening gives an enormous amount of motivational ideas and data about our green living space.
It is divided into three sections – Blogs, Photos, and Forums. The weblogs are online diaries by RHS staff around Britain, describing what is going on in their gardens, the activities and problems of the season, and their gardening trials and tribulations.
The photo section has a vast choice of beautiful images of flowers and vegetables, some taken by professional photographers, but most are uploaded by users of the site.
Perhaps the most useful part of this site, however, is the forum, where a huge amount of collective horticultural intelligence is available to be used by the gardening community. Questions and comments about almost every subject of interest to gardeners have been asked and answered, and after a quick, and free, registration on the site anyone can contribute to the forum. Gardening sites are plentiful on the web, but the expertise to be found here is exceptional. Mygarden is just a small part of the much larger RHS site, and links to all the other resources are also available at the top of the screen, including the definitive online catalogue of plants and advice about every aspect of gardening.
