Eurotunnel: reduced services until New Year Print E-mail
Tuesday, 30 September 2008
Eurotunnel has indicated that the most damaged section of the France UK tunnel will be out of action for at least until after the New Year. This means a continuation of reduced services until then.

As a result all travel privileges have been suspended for shareholders as well as for pensioners and employees. Michael Fowler, speaking for Eurunnel shareholders action group ETAG, commented that although the suspension was “questionable” under the terms of the agreement, the Committee felt that it was reasonable in the circumstances. Commercial Director Jo Willacy said that Eurotunnel had taken this step to maximise paying traffic after the fire two weeks ago.

All existing bookings will be honoured.
