Saturday, 11 October 2008
The annual Flu vaccines organised by the French government are now available in chemist shops across the country. The Assurance maladie, the Medical authority, recommends the jabs and have sent out Nine million letters to those most at risk particularly the elderly. The vaccine is free to those aged 65 and over, those with long term illnesses d'Affections de longue durée (ALD) such as HIV, bronchitis, lung diabetes, epilepsy and heart problems. Those vaccinated last year do not have to go through a doctor. They have been sent a voucher direct to give to the chemist and for the the injection by a nurse.
