He has had a home in France since 1968; he writes about French politics, the north-east and Europe. He has recently published a biography of Ségolène Royal and translated, introduced and edited the English-language version of Nicolas Sarkozy’s best-seller, ‘Testimony’. He has a degree in French and European history and is finishing a book about Général de Gaulle. |
