Bilingual French-English sessions
(in and around Albi)

If, with your level of French, you cannot communicate properly with French people or with the banks, insurers and the authorities,  come and improve your French through regular practice with native French speakers.

Minimum level of French required : Lower intermediate - 2 years of French
Aim: Improve your level in French through weekly bilingual sessions based on interlanguage exchanges.

Programme:    These dynamic sessions are based on real life situations, with bilingual grammar, geography and language quizzes. Anglophonesl help correct Francophones and vice versa and both benefit from the exchange of language and  culture. They also challenge each other in bilingual mixed teams to learn another language in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Advanced session programmes focus on specific aspects such as administrative procedures (Social Security, taxes), knowledge of French business language (Resume, letter of application, email, faxes) and practical and economic aspects (installing or cancelling a phone, EDF services etc).

Example of "everyday life" quiz  :
Your French neighbour is talking to you about a man he knows and says : "Ah, lui, je peux pas le voir!". You think :
a- He can't see him
b- He hates him
c- He likes him but he won't be able to see him for a while

Si votre voisin américain vous dit: 'I've been messing around the whole day', vous comprenez:
a- qu'il est allé à la messe aujourd'hui
b- qu'il a rien glandé de la journée
c- qu'il a été débordé
